Molecular compounds consist of two or more non-metals covalently bonded to each other. In molecular compounds, valent electrons are shared and charges on atoms are very small. In ionic compounds, valent electrons are completely gained and/or lost, and thus ions are formed. For example, CO2, H2O, CCl4 are molecular compounds.

Where do I find non-metals in the Periodic Table? Above the metalloids, which is above the B (Boron) - Po (Polonium) staircase, in the upper right corner of the Periodic Table.
