How to download and use the app PDFelement

How to fill out a PDF Form using an iPad or iPhone.

This first section shows how to Download and Install the App

(1) go to the App Store on your mobile device:

(2) search for PDFelement

(3) choose this app and install it to your device:

(4) open PDFelement on your device:

(5) signup for a free account. You can use the
      app without an account, but you must have
      one to save and email files.

ONCE YOU HAVE SIGNED UP, YOU WILL NEED TO WAIT FOR AN AUTHENTICATION EMAIL TO BE SENT TO YOU.

IT TOOK OVER 30 MINUTES TO ARRIVE WHEN I SIGNED UP.

If you really do not want to create an account, you will have to take screen shots of your completed lab report sheet and send me the images instead of the saved PDF file.

This next section explains how to use the PDFelement app.

(1) with the PDFelement app still open on your device, switch to your Internet
     browsing app and go to the desired location on the internet.

(2) click on the link to digitally-fillable report sheet. For example:

(3) with the PDF file now open in your Internet browser app, locate somewhere on your screen the Send To icon. It is often at the top of the screen for an iPad, and the bottom for an iPhone. Click on it and try and locate Copy to PDFelement. You might have to first click on the More icon, as shown in the three images below.

4) switch to the PDFelements app on your device and choose the file that was
      just copied to the app. For example, the Kinetics lab:

(5) a fillable-PDF will look like this in the app. Tap on a field (they are all shaded) to fill it out. You must click on Done each time before moving on to the next field, otherwise the information will not save even if it looks like it did save!

(6) save the file often as you work on it. The save icon is at the upper-right:

(7) when finished, email the file to your instructor.

Click on the "hamburger" (3-dot) icon first, then choose the email icon. Then choose the mail app on your phone.

Please email a copy to yourself first! Open the file and make sure all of the fields were actually filled out and saved.
