Instructional TutorialProblem Solving in Titrations (24:56)

This tutorial explains the method of solving titration-related problems. An alternate method of calculation is explained and then contrasted with a dimensional analysis-type of approach.  This video attempts to get the student to understand what we are trying to achieve in titrations and clarifies the approach we can take to solve our problems.

Instructional TutorialStudy Guide Problem 3 (12:03)

Another titration problem relating to Parts 1 & 2 of Experiment 2.2: preparing a standard solution of potassium hydrogen phthalate and using it to standardise a solution of sodium hydroxide. The tutorial begins by taking us through the same method as that used in Appendix 2 of the lab manual and concludes with an alternate method of problem solving, utilising a dimensional analysis-type approach.

Instructional TutorialStudy Guide Problem 5 (9:04)

This titration problem relates to Part 2 of Experiment 2.1: determination of the percent, by volume, of acetic acid in vinegar. The tutorial begins by explaining the problem, together with the meaning of the term "percent by volume".  It then leads us through a dimensional analysis-type approach to solve the problem
